Alexander Turner

Alex is a managing partner of Bales Beall LLP. He is a trusted advisor to clients on all sides of an estate or family law dispute.

In his estate litigation practice, Alex appears regularly as lead counsel in trials and applications in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and in matters before the Court of Appeal. He has represented clients in significant mandates involving will challenges and interpretation proceedings, dependent's relief claims, estate administration and guardianship disputes under the Substitute Decisions Act. He has particular experience in complex estates which involve unique assets, or parallel family law claims.

In his family law practice, Alex has acted for clients in property and support issues, and in family law disputes which intersect with trust and estate issues.

In addition to litigation matters, Alex advises both trustees and beneficiaries in resolving difficult probate and estate asset issues, particularly in matters where there are assets outside of Ontario.
