Fareen Jamal

Fareen Jamal is an associate lawyer at Bales Beall LLP, practicing in the areas of Matrimonial, Estate and Civil Litigation.

Fareen’s personality, accomplishments and international background have equipped her with vital litigation skills. Her litigation experience includes commercial matters, defamation and fraud. She has also represented clients in cross-border litigation, disappointed beneficiaries in Will challenges and complex matrimonial disputes that involve family businesses.

Fareen has had the benefit of a diverse education in Kenya, Switzerland, Great Britain and Canada. Fareen’s personal interests reflect her energy and drive. They include rock climbing, mountain biking, parasailing, white water rafting and bungee jumping from various landmarks around the globe. While attending Osgoode Hall Law School she provided pro bono Family Law services at the Legal Clinic at the 311 Jarvis Street Courthouse in Toronto.

Fareen serves as an Executive on the Ontario Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Civil Litigation Section. She currently tutors in Family Law for prospective lawyers studying the Ontario Bar Admissions Course, and is a member of the Advocates Society. Commencing in January 2010, Fareen has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Access for Parents and Children in Ontario (APCO), which is a non-profit organization, funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario, that provides supervised access to separated families. As a trained professional in Collaborative Family Law, she is also a member of both Collaborative Practice Toronto and the Peel/Halton Collaborative Family Law Association.
