Ashley Waye joined Bales Beall LLP as an associate after articling at the firm in 2010-2011. Her practice focuses on estates, family and civil litigation.
Ashley has a diverse international background, having lived and studied in Germany, England and Canada. Her varied travels have left her fluent in three languages, including English, French and German. Ashley is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario and has experience representing overseas clients who require French-speaking counsel.
Ashley’s litigation experience includes commercial landlord-tenant disputes; objections to guardianship applications; disputes arising out of both simple and complex divorces; and custody and access disputes involving mobility issues. During her articles, Ashley had the opportunity to assist at a trial of a contract dispute and a will challenge.
While at Osgoode Hall Law School, Ashley was the president of the Mooting Society and participated as the French language mooter on the Laskin Team. She continues to be involved with the Osgoode Laskin Team as an assistant coach.
Ashley is a competitive curler and an avid participant in the annual Lawyer Show put on by the Nightwood Theatre. She is also the owner of a seasonal clothing boutique, August Moon, in Muskoka.
